Overview:

Huayuan International seeks talent people to join our cultural department on full-time basis. The ideal candidate shoud have the degree in either Art Management or Art History and will be motivated self-starter with the confidence and editorial skills necessary to work on numerous tasks concurrently and under tight deadlines. The candidate need to be fluent in English, Mandarin Chinese, should have an interest in culture, journalism, fine art, and fashion.

Requirement

• Develop business contacts and strategic opportunities, including developing private sales strategies
• Identify and maintain relationships with clients, dealers and collectors
• Plan and execute the art exhibitions, art festivals, art shows
• Working with CEO on shaping proposals and in pitching business.
• Develop and work with major clients to sell high value arts
• Write and prepare catalog essays
• Participate in pre-selling upcoming auctions through targeted marketing efforts.
• Required to handle, inspect and/or take photographs of works of art for appraisal
• Required to create written or recorded descriptions of inspected items
• Required to attend events, exhibitions, art fairs locally, domestically and internationally
• Required to meet with clients on-site and off-site
• Required to travel locally, domestically and internationally
  

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Art History preferred; or equivalent work experience. Master’s degree preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to bring in property and conduct appraisals.
• Knowledge of E-mail, Spreadsheet, Word Processing and Presentation software (Microsoft Office preferred).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including superior written and spoken communication.
• Superior client service skills.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Strong follow-up skills with attention to detail.
• Mandarin language is preferred.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
